Its my friend too when it is called for. So is a jig, when it's called for, I have lots of friends. Even though they all have different moms and dads, they all ended up having the same names, tools. Caught my fourth six pounder of the season yesterday. Caught it with another friend(tool). John

Don

Do you have a chart that shows the lure, depth, layers for NoBo and Wire.

Example
I have 10 layers is 30 feet

100 series NoBo 12 - 15 feet 14 - 15 layers 41 - 45 feet
Wire 30 - 35 feet 16 - 20 layers 48 - 60 feet

Is this in the ball park.

Mike
Too many variables to say exactly so many layers for so many feet.
Example:
My reel has a bigger stool than yours, so different amount of layers to reach same depth.

My reel is totally full of line, and yours is not quite full. This will make a small difference.

I'm using 30# wire and you have 12 #. Less layers for you due to smaller diameter to reach same depth.

Same with Nobo. There is always a slight difference between 12,17 and 20#. Reel spool size, etc.

Best to just find an exact depth, run the lures, and check your layer numbers.

I keep it simple and ONLY use 17# Nobo, 30# wire, and 30# Braid.
This way, I know exactly how many layers to reach my depths.

Also. I went to Okuma Line Counter reels, and use these now. Still have to have FULL spools, and have to know how many feet comes off. They can vary from Model, to Model.

Hope this helps.

Sorry it took me so long to answer, I missed the comments about line lengths. I have attached my line length charts. If you have other questions I am answering them twice a month on my YouTube Channel. Click subscribe and I'll get to them! Thanks. Warmest Regards, DD
