Walleye Question

While trolling and casting known structure sitiuations I have been doing well on all species except walleyes. I know there is a decent population. I work from the weedlines down to the deepest water in the area. Should I try a smaller spoonplug with wire when I work deeper if maybe the 700 and 800`s are to large. I know if I am getting movements of the other fish the walleye should move also. Thanks, Bill Beck.

I would say "yes" to going to wire and a smaller spoon and run it as close to the bottom as you can.You will soon be able to see if that changes your luck on those walleyes.I have great luck with copper on sunny days

If you do in fact hit a walleye or two trolling make sure you go back and cast at them with either a jump spoon or blade, also try anchoring up on known productive spots just before dusk and wait for them to move, good luck,
Jerry
