Attatching No Bo Line to the snap

Do i tie my no bo line directly to the snap,or do i use a leader connected to the no bo line?If i need a leader how long and how do i connect it to the no bo line?Also should my leader be the same weight or lighter?

JIM, IF YOUR LAKES HAVE NORTHERNS OR MUSKYS YOU MUST USE A LEADER. 10 TO 12'' IS LONG ENOUGH. YOU CAN USE BUCKS WIRE . HAY WIRE TWIST TO A QUALITY SWIVEL, THE OTHER END TO A NO. 3 SNAP. I USE 50# MONOFILAMENT INSTEAD OF WIRE. I ATTACHED SWIVEL AND SNAP WITH A CRAWFORD[ FIGURE 8 KNOT]. EVEN IF I FISH A LAKE WITH NO TOOTHY CRITTERS I STILL USE A LEADER THE BASS AND WALLEYES DONT CARE.
