Re: New to Spoonpluggers
Welcome aboard. Wish I was closer to your area Mid 30s today with a rain/snow/sleet mix combined with 20 mph winds all day long today - lol. Hopefully someone closer will see this and chime in.

Re: New to Spoonpluggers
Welcome Robert!
At one time, I believe in the late 60's and 70's the Dallas area had the 2nd largest club (Nashville was the largest). But times have changed, I don't know of any spoonpluggers in Texas. It's a shame, with all that water down there. I'm planning on a long road trip to Texas in another year or two..
My advise is to read all the material again and use the proper tools (tiller boat) and start learning to troll the shallows. Start with some manmade structures (dam, causways, road beds), they should be "clean" structures and great to start on. Post your questions and progress...
Best of luck. JIm
