I recently discovered spoonplugging from youtube videos showing fishing success on my home lake
I bought first the green book, then the home study course.
I also bought several spoonplugs and other gear.
So far, I have had great success just not in catching fish.
I have caught:
1) one large net
2) one patio chair seat cushion
3) one anchor with 100 ft line attached (put up an awesome fight!)
4) one 2ft x 2 ft section of carpet
5) one 5 ft section of dock line ( I was sure this was a fish!)
6) two small perch
7) many hooks / line /sinkers lost by previous fishermen
8) one 7 lb walleye
except for the big walleye, I am in the hole cost-wise, since I've lost three 800 series spoonplugs in exchange for a usable net.
At least I know I am trolling on the bottom based on my junkyard catches.
I look forward to learning more about spoonplugging techniques and will post questions in another section of the forum.
