I have been fishing with Spoonplugs since 1965. I found one in perch with a multiline tie on a stump in Lake Murray SC. I cast it toward rocky points from my Jon boat ,working it like most diving plugs I owned, and it produced very well for me, so I found more at a local hole in the wall tackle shop and bought five more in various patterns 500 and 600 size. It was not until 1988 that I found out that it was a great producer trolled!I reckin I need to read the books yall keep talking about. Interesting sidenote, the old tackle collecting club I belong to the CATC(Carolina Antique Tackle Collectors) chose as our second club tackle patch in 1993-4 the Buck Perry Spoonplug!!!!only about 150 of these patches were made and are hard to come across now.
