DECEMBER MUSKY

The last video for this year, probably!
Cold, windy...the few fish all were caught on inside turns of productive summertime bars...speed, slow to moderate...wire at 23 to 32 feet.

Fishing by myself today I attempted to test JBs versus 100, 700 and 800 series spoonplugs.
Starting in ~15 feet of water I first ran a JB across a large structure situation making two passes in opposite directions and then I duplicated this procedure by making the same two redundant (same depth) passes with an appropriate size spoonplug.
I worked my way downstairs straining the water column to a depth of 50 feet where features smooth out and things get mucky.
This whole process was repeated throughout the day.
Unfortunately, the activity period was only minutes long, thus not providing enough time to catch enough fish to draw any worthwhile conclusions.
All the fish were caught at 44 feet.

Jeff,
The site had a bit of a disaster in late January. Jim had to restore to a point where some pretty important things went missing. I'm glad you reported your videos cause there great.

Don't be surprised when Jim moves them to the video library section. We are trying to organize the videos so that they don't get buried in the posts.

Keep it up I really get a kick out of your stuff.

Btw mr biologist man - what is your take on this weather? Ice 1.5 months early. Water temps in 60's. Are the fish spawning based on water temp or light conditions? Are we going to lose a spawn when we start getting late season snow?

Please answer in separate thread if you can

Nice to see you again.
