On page 55 of the old Fishing Facts article, Buck mentions "pattern trolling", what exactly does he mean by this? I think I get
the concept of contour trolling.

Dave, Don Dickson talks about pattern trolling on the trolling video you will be getting. It's the in-between depths: 10' down to 25', No-Bo line. He actully listed three: Contour= Shallows, Pattern= In-Between depths, Trolling Breaklines= Deeper than 25'. (Wire Line)
