Wonder if any of you have ever seen or heard of these rods / fishing poles?
These are REALLY compact and you can change the action of the rod by changing the "ends" (the steel parts are removeable)
I saw these guys have a "TROLLING POLE" - wonder if they are practical?

They have caught some impressive stuff on these little rods!

The "EMMROD"
Re: The "EMMROD"
Straying too far from Bucks recommendation is not suggested. His trolling rods are perfect in may ways. You need to feel your lure and pay attention to what it tells you. The length is right, to put your rod tip in the water to make tight turns, so your line follows your boat. Some of my rods have a wire leader 3' to 4' long, on mono or braid for weeds, rocks or zebra mussels. Snaps or swivels probably will not fit thru your level wind on your reel.
I think the shortness would not be good. Does it have the feel, you'd have to try it.

Dont waste your time with anything other than a Buck Perry trolling rod. End of story. That way you know you have the best and there is no question on the equipment. Yes it is pricy but you will come out ahead in the long run. John

I have not tried trolling with the Emmrods. I will, now that you brought it up. I enjoy using these rods. I have a couple and have just ordered another.
