I would like to use this forum to publicly acknowledge the dedicated hard work and self-sacrifice of John Bales.
His focus and tenacity in designing, tooling, machining, hand-polish and then personally distributing his babies, the JB1 and the JB2, to his fellow spoonpluggers goes way beyond the call of duty.
I am humbled and indebted to him.
Thank you! thank you! And thank you again, John!
Here are some videos from two outings I made in the days after receiving the JB1 and JB2 in the mail from John.
In New Jersey muskies are not that easy to come by and hooking one a trip is considered a success, but hooking TEN (10) in two trips is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of!
These fish were all hooked on the JB1 run at ~16 feet on the first (shallow) ring attachment.
Hey John, those hooks are SHARP!

P.S. All fish lost were due totally to my inability to multi-task: fish, run camera, steer, reel, run camera, keep line tight, run camera, talk, maneuver, breathe, run camera, etc. -JJL
