spoonplugger rod and penn reel

I would like to sell an older rod and reel, probably from the mid 1970's.

Rod is labelled " spoonplugger The trollers finest, " Buck Perry. rod handle is a Featherweight, Champion, Ocean View BLDG, Glendale, Cal;ifornia

Rod is 4'8"in good shape except for a few places the silver paint has scratched off, guides and cork all good
Reel is a Penn 30- 109 with lubrication ports on each side. I have done a superficial cleaning and lubrication of the reel. It is smooth, including the drag.

The story is my friend Elmer passed away this summer. As I was going through some of his sporting goods with his wife this outfit jumped out at me. I thought" there is a spoonplugger out there who would like this" ( I have way too much gear and should be getting rid of not adding.) We had met in the 1970's, both spoonpluggers. he used to be a member but let that lapse.

Anyway I'm hoping this will find a home with someone who will appreciate it. I think $100 is fair. Buyer to pay shipping. I am in Athens.OHio
