Finally…

Post by Fran Myers »

I have been in a big waiting game. Ordered a brand new boat in January. At the same time I took advantage of an opportunity I had for Garmin electronics. So I bought a total package.

The electronics didn't come when expected. Waited months and then found out the order was lost or never submitted. When the order was submitted I was told that most of the stuff had delivery times of months…

The boat was supposed to be built March. It was. Infact it was delivered two weeks earlier than I expected. Not only that all the extras I ordered and backordered were all delivered. The only problem is…of all the things I expected to cause a delay didnt have a problem. However, the motor didn't come with a Tiller Handle. AND the dealership had no idea when it was coming. The dealership also said they wouldn’t put the boat together until the handle was delivered.

I have been impatiently for about 3 months.

Well, last week the things started coming together. The handle came and they were assembling my boat.

Today, I checked the status of my Garmin order and discovered that the final 3 items from my list were delivered. Yea! again.

I am hoping to be ready for the Opener but you never know.

Nice. Congrats. The boat looks cool. You’ll have to let me know how you like the jack plate. I debated but decided against one. I didn’t know at the time I was going to try to learn spoonplugging. Lol

I have run with jack plates for a long time. Am probably the only one on here that uses one. I got tired of ruining props in the shallows.

Very nice Fran.
I did install all new rod and storage locker locks on my boat. Also added my own invention of Lockr Bars as well. Not as fancy as the Real Lockr Bar, but mine only cost me $30 to make and not $300, and work just as good if not better.
I also bought a Butt Seat from Bass Pro that matched the Seats in my boat perfectly. Looks like we have the same interior color carpet. I like how your depth finders will roll in and be able to lock up without removing them every time.
Out here, if you dont remove them, they will be gone!!!
Love the AlumaCraft! I have to thank you again for turning me on to them.

It is an awesome looking boat Fran!
Looks "almost" identical to mine!
I absolutely love mine!
I only have one very small complaint. I dont like the position, even with the sliding seat, of the driver seat.
Im working on a solution to be able to move the position without having to drill a hole in the floor where the fuel tank is.
It is just a little too far away from allowing me to use my shorter trolling rod comfortably.
No problem with the longer rods though.
Break to that motor in good, and you will love this rig!
