Thanks, Randy. That's the kind of info I was looking for. I've heard about carboloy and was wondering if Buck's rods were equipped with them or not. I take it from your response, then, that the other guides will be fine as is.

rockfish: every couple of years check the first guide down from the tip! it will start too get a groove too using wire. : randy
