Lake of the week is BACK!
How would you interpret this lake?
Water color?
Best time of the year to fish?
If this lake had bass.. where would you fish spring, summer and fall?

Re: Lake of the Week 8-17-12
Water color yellow-green: Moderate clarity, i.e. weeds to 6'.
In any year: Find the depth of the weed line, then find the depth of the first breakline and any other breaklines. With a 6' contour interval, there could be others, e.g. 10'-12', 24'-28', etc.
Ice out: Cast the two deep holes.
Pre-spawn: Work the inside edge of the weed line.
Post spawn: Work the weeds and outside edge of the weed line until the fish move into deeper water.
Summer: Work the breakline(s) and look for the fingers adjacent to the deep water, especially the bars on the east and west side. Map 'em! The sharper drop in the NE corner could be a contact point.
Fall: Start working deeper in the 24' and 32' holes.
