Cold front bass

Someone posted this picture on another forum I’m visit. Said he was able to wade up to the bass and poke it with his rod tip. Good example of how dormant they can get.

Re: Master class in Picture taking!

Again, in order not to cover Steve's last post I would like to comment on Dons talk on roadbeds. This guy is a very good teacher. He says all the right things it seems. The story he told about taking the writer was fantastic. His observations of the shoreline terrain came from his experiences on th...

Re: Education

Steve Straight out of his mouth. Story starts about 44 min mark. I don’t blame him at all I would have done the same thing. All I’m saying is I donnt think the guy is going to do much for promoting structure fishing to the new generation. Maybe a couple guys that just retiered and heard of him back ...

Re: Education

again I hope I’m wrong but my first encounter of Don was his story how he rigged a fishing tournament for some Illinois politician that lead to a contract for him with the city of chicago. He’s a Fucking used car salesman. If that guy is the best teacher you ever meet I feel very sorry for you. Enjo...

Re: Education

Bucks finding are the basis of all modern day fishing and some of the most important findings in fishing history. But with they said the teaching of his findings are way outdated, boring, difficult and not practicle to most fisherman. Most fisherman truly struggle to understand the most basic fundam...

Re: Part Two

Why has Don never participated on this forum? Maybe send one of his articles to the National? Seems quite odd. I NEVER heard Buck mention his name at all at any of the jamboree's back in the day. Danny Duckman Dd22 I’m a bit confused by you post!!! You have been signed up on this site since 2005 an...

Re: Trolling speed

Vaguru A Spoonplugs is not a magic lure. It doesn't matter what lure you use to catch a fish... if you catch 20 bass one a lure there's no reason to switch to a spoonplug trust to catch a fish. If you used the guidelines to locates and catch the fish your are spoonplugging!! Regaurdlees of what lure...

Re: Trolling speed

Vaguru Very good decision. Another little tip.... get a 15hp and put 9.9 decal on it. You can order the decals online for about $5. Looking forwards to some lake Anna reports. Only fished it for a day but had decant luck on the flat bar out in front of the plant. It's deep and clear... think we caug...

Re: Trolling speed

If you really want to learn how to Spoonplugs, just sell what you have, skip the 2-3hp and jut get a nice 12-14' boat with a 9-15hp and a big trilling motor. Days you want to fish the Eletrican lakes just take the big motor off (in Illinois we just take the prop off the big motor and can launch on e...

Re: Trolling speed

They are not cheap( about the same as a gas outboard) but if you only have acces to Eletrical motor lakes only one of theses might be the ticket.
