Re: Depth Sounders, Graphs, and Flashers
My concern with theses things are that people will spend way more time looking for baseball sized objects on the bottom that may or may not be there then they need to.

Re: Depth Sounders, Graphs, and Flashers
All im saying is a good flasher will show you every subtle detail on the bottom. If you think a fancy unit will help more go for it, what ever your comfortable with.
Now if we can only get some people with these units to post some fishing reports.

My 2 cents.. All you need is a flasher and if you need a thermocline get a lowrance fish n temp on eBay for around $10. I have wanted one of these hds for awhile but after reading this post and seeing the images I'm confident that you would pick up all that on a flasher. At the winter seminar Terry ...

Re: Catfish
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J-WRRHdv4Y As Spoonpluggers we do see that if we are catching cats on Spoonplugs then we are fishing too slow for anything else, including walleyes FALSE The biggest Walleye Iv caught this year came as i was reeling in a cat on one rod, After I landed the fish and rel...

Good stuff! I always thought they moved to the shallows to spawn because they needed the sunlight/warmth to incubate the eggs. In clear lakes the beds can be deeper because the sunlight is able to penetrate deeper and warm the eggs.

I agree I was just saying you have to look at those areas to make sure they are straight if you can find a spot in those areas that is not straight you might find some fish.
