ABSOLUTELY RIGHT John!! And Buck has been educating all of us for years, e.g. the green book, home study series, videos, magazine articles, etc. His slogan sums it up in a single sentence: Knowledge is the key to fishing success.

If, after thoroughly fishing the shallows, fishing the "in between", and no fish are caught, they may be deep, and we should work down to 30' - 35'(or deeper) to check there. That applies not only to conditions after the passing of a cold front, but on an average fishing day with good cond...
