Great picture Jerry. The two on either side of the sun are "sun dogs" caused by sunlight reflected off ice crystals in clouds.

Glad everyone in your neighbor hood is safe, but this is really the kind of thing that belongs on facebook/twitter. I hope we don't see any more postings that have no relationship to Spoonplugging/fishing.

Welcome to the forum Dennis. Buck emphasized fishing shallow to deep EVERY time, i.e. don't assume where the fish will be.

Kraig, Re-read what Buck says in the "green" book on page 107, beginning with the paragraph "Let's go back to that remark I made...." You will find the answer to your question on the next page, fourth paragraph down beginning "When presenting lures in the shallows...." ...

Kevin,
One creative person I know took the spring off a door stop, slipped it through the rod tip, and secured it with a nylon wire tie. It works beautifully and is considerably less expensive than a Twili.
