Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Re: Muskkegon Outing Part I and Part II

Re: Rathbun Lake

Good report Jim. Thanks. The technology has come a long way since Buck did his studies and made his observations, but nothing he discovered has changed; only made it easier for us. The section in Presentation of Lures, i.e. a hypothetical trip on a new lake, encapsulates it all.

Dennis,
Good choice. I've had a Crestliner since 2004. Top notch. Lifetime warrantee for original owner, 20 years for second owner.

Re: Pine creek lake

Bob if that lake is down 22', the deepest holes, according to Navionics, only have about 16' in 'em and you can almost walk out to 'em. To answer your question "Tell me where to fish?": Eufala!! That looks like the situation we faced at Tawakoni one year; couldn't get the boat in the water...

Re: In need of a boat

Dave I think everyone on the water should have some knowledge of navigation and definitely know the rules of the road. I had sixteen weeks of navigation training in the USN. Everything... dead reckoning. set and drift, coastal piloting, celestial navigation, etc. One of my favorites. Our text was Du...

Re: In need of a boat

Dave the CG Auxiliary course is excellent; I took it when I was in high school. Of course that was back in the days of square riggers and galleys  An abridged version of Chapman's book was given as part of the class.
