Re: Buck Perry
John, I feel I have been blessed as I was able to hit Marion before it went downhill. Don Dickson, Tommy Ferencek, a guy from WV(cant remember his name), and I fished Lake Marion for a week in 1979. The 4 of us caught well over 300 bass that week. Some big ones too. Mostly in the 3-8 pound range. It...

Re: A test for you.
Well since no one will take the bull by the horns here,.......I will. Buck said once: "I find good fishermen, good mappers, good interpreters, and especially good trollers have a tendancy to not take up a casting position when fish are not moving well (bad weather condition). They will hit a st...

John posted a really good article in the Northern Indiana newsletter. This place has been kinda dead here lately, so I thought I would repost his article for all here to look at, and see where you are at in your Spoonplugging. Good one John...... Hope you dont mind me reposting. It is certainly good...

Re: The Walk TV
Jim, I can get all of these, but only on my 5th Wheel trailer TV antenna, that picks up the open air free digital signal. Flagstaff is only an hour away from me and Camp Verde is 14 miles away. Used to watch these two before we had cable years ago. Lake Havasu is a HUGE fishing/tourism/boating town ...

Denny, Again, no offense intended. You asked questions, we answered. Believe me, we are only trying to help you on your way and to get you there "fishing in the right place, in the right manner, AND with the right equipment" to achieve success. "Knowledge is the key to success, and su...

Re: Some more mapping questions
DRH20, One of the fastest ways to "map" a structure and to get a general idea (picture) of what is down there is to simply use your depth finder. Leave the lures in the boat. If you find, lets say a bar, the first thing you should do is run off it and find your deep water. Remember, deep w...

Re: 5 Weeks to Go!
Fran,
The first two look like some of our Highlanders and Canyon types we have out here.
Look for the "dirt" on those rocky suckers!
I would imagine you are going to have a ball!
Looking forward to your reports.
Have fun and watch out for the critters that can eat you!

Thought you all might enjoy this video and music about my state....
Many of the pictures are right out my front and back door, and some are within driving distance of my place here. I am blessed to live here for sure.
Enjoy.
