Re: Countour trolling
Wilmy, Welcome to Spoonplugger.net. I have been talking to fishton and madporra since about January. Please ask your questions we are very willing to help you understand the materials. While we may be a bit reluctant to answer the where would you fish on this dam for this tournament type question we...

Re: Is E 15 just around the corner?
I am glad someone posted something about this. I meant to and I forgot. Last month I was getting some work done to my boat when the subject of gas came up. My boat guy said that there are MANY law suites around the country about the refiners juicing up their mixes to 15% already without telling anyo...

Re: a question
Bill, This is correct. I would have used the words more active, less active, or dormant. You remember our slides from a couple.years ago:-) This particular long/short line issue comes up all the time, not just in the spring, in Florida, or Lake Erie. Last year I learned that even in water that is 90...

Re: a question
Steve, I have the answer to your question but I will wait a bit before I answer you. Awesome question. I would also say that this question is very valid anywhere, especially this time of year. On Erie, by making those adjustments in line length cause the person with the long line to catch at least 2...

Re: a question
Wow that's a good question. The only things I can think of is that the bottom was soft and the spoonplug wasnt in the right place (under the muck). The other thing is that the trailer was far enough away from the boat in spring conditions while the spoonplug was just too close. Both bad ideas but I'...

Ok Bink,
I am a tech junky but that is some pretty cool stuff...
Hopefully it will be recorded so we who are working can see it.

Buyer Beware
I know that I have mentioned Buck's 'Blue Book' in the past and at the Chicago Seminar. On Ebay there is someone selling the Blue 3-Ring binder that I was talking about. This auction is NOT for the same Blue book I talked about. It's the Blue binder with the 9-Volume Home Study Kit inside. If you wa...

Re: Interesting Observations
You know after watching In-Fisherman and the new Lindner show, I am sure it's because the fish saw you or your reels. I am sure you would have caught every one of those fish had you been wearing fishouflage. Camouflage with fish on shirts, reels, and tackle boxes. That is the obvious answer. Got to ...
Re: Fishing.
Bob, I just went to my spring walleye area on the Mississippi. It's open, it's high, and there are people fishing today. Resort owner says that while few fish are being caught the big females haven't been there. He says they show up the 2nd or 3rd week of February. I am getting really anxious. Shoul...

Re: Fall fishing conditions
Now Douglas I am totally serious. I will be leaving Minneapolis the Monday before the outing so I can find a fish or two. Paducah is the closest airport although I don't know if it still has air service. I know I used to fly there quite often out of Memphis. I may even have an extra bed in my hotel ...

Re: Line counter reels
Keep in mind the seasonal migration changes and the water temperatures. Colder the slower. You MAY need to troll something other than a Spoonplug. I like Shad Raps and LOVE the DT series. Get the depth with the slower speeds they are just awesome lures. I can't imagine you not catching fish all year...
