Re: Structure Situations - Feeder Stream Cut & Hump
I happen to agree. But we must remember that a person with $20,000 in modern electronics but no guidelines is lost nearly 100% of the time. A person with no electronics at all but knows and uses our guidelines will always do better. However... A person who knows, understands, and uses the guidelines...

On the road again...
Left St. Paul last night at 9:30pm. Got to Kentucky Lake at 1pm. John got in at 2:30. Unloaded and are now just getting dinner ready. Trip was a bit interesting. Had GPS set to shortest distance and I found every small town. Made me laugh. We went out for a few items and talked to some local fisherm...

Re: fishing bass with John Bales 9-22-12
Fran, I was doing OKAY holding my own with John. But then I threw out a challenge to him about who would catch the next fish, etc. and that was a big mistake! See you in Kentucky. I heard you did more than OK. You are getting really good, in fact you're a better Spoonplugger than I am. I really enj...

Re: fishing bass with John Bales 9-22-12
I can't begin to tell you the benefit of fishing with John even for a day. I went for a few days in December last year and what I learned has changed my fishing. He tried to show me the pitching thing last month but I didn't really get it too well. Plus my brand new boat took a dump and I went home ...

Who is this? Pat?
The past few years Mike and I have thought about having other day outings but none of us have had the time. As it turns out it looks like my schedule will be changing significantly and who knows maybe we'll have another day outing somewhere.
Thanks for the Kind words.
Fran

Re: Out in Africa
So I spoke to my friend in Africa and we are gathering information. I just thought I would share some of the very FEW contour maps of South Africa. We are thinking of spending considerable time at Inanda, Phobane, Vaal, and some others I can't remember. I think Phobane is the best choice. Supposed t...

Out in Africa
Ive been in the early stages of planning a fishing trip to Africa. We've had visitors from africa on this site for about two years now since I started posting on their forum. This is a report from two weeks ago. Make sure you do the metric conversations. It took my breath away. The biggest issue in ...

Thinking about a trip...
I've been pretty quiet lately. Without going into details my ability to deal with bs has reached a limit and once I get past some training, I am going to take a leave from work. I have two plans and thought I would share what I'm thinking about. First I am going to be taking 4 to 6 weeks off. Second...

Re: Lake of the week Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence
Wow, that's impressive. New to wire, lure, bumping, trolling deep with current...and you catch some pretty nice fish the first time out. Again that's impressive. Congrats. For the deep weed lines I would start as close to the base and then work deeper. I wouldn't worry so much for stacking the lures...

I could have saved a lot of money. Looks Nice. I wouldn't let it go.

I've been fishing various lakes south. Orchard, French, cedar (faribault), mazaska. But not very much.
