Re: Navionics Lake of the week

To be honest Jim, I haven't seen this map. If its over by Joe's house then it's in Wright County which is where Mike lives and I don't think I remember mentioning it. I still don't know what the Lake's name is or where exactly it is. We are blessed with outstanding lakes very close to us. But we are...

Re: Navionics Lake of the week

Now just a darn minute here... First, despite spending enough money to exceed several small African countries GNP, I did NOT buy the Ranger IceBreaker Attachment. Just to let you know (AGAIN) - I've made some big changes that drastically change my schedule so I'm going to be the one saying "Whe...

Re: problems posting?

I wish it was that simple. John has a windows machine. I figured the issue I was having was my iPad. My desktop seems to work fine. I'll see johns stuff next week.

Re: problems posting?

John was trying to post then when he pressed submit he'd get a message about unable to connect to server.

I would try to post hit submit and the form reappeared empty. I'm not sure if its an iPad/iPhone issue.

Re: Next step?

Steve, I have missed Kenny's posts and videos. He's a busy guy getting pulled in a lot of different directions. Hopefully he'll post more. Some of my biggest improvements in Spoonplugging have been doing what he told me.

BTW Bink, I may not catch many fish but I can catch craps...

Re: Next step?

Ok I see where this came from... I said 'Kenny writes like a beginner'. What I intended to say and from the deepest part of my heart 'Kenny writes like he's a beginning Spoonplugger but'. I can understand why anyone reading the above post would be offended but honestly my mind was typing faster than...

Re: Next step?

I just want to say that Kenny writes like a beginner but he's in the Elite class so what he says carries a lot of weight. Nice to see you back and hope things are going well. Kevin your absolutely right. It is not easy to take what read and the make it work in the boat. Do not feel bad if you feel l...

Re: Lake in Ontario

Color, weeds, muck or not - were all what I expected. There wont be a lot of muck just because of the glacial action. The pencil lines were some of the places I'd start. Just remember, that map was created in the 70's by a group of guys who didn't really want to be there. Another thing is that in th...

Re: Lake in Ontario

Bill, Do you know what the water color is? Weed line depths if any, and bottom make up? Being where it is I'm sure we can all guess but if you've been there it be interesting to hear the details. Bill, I looked at your pencil lines and honestly a lot of them were in the right places. If you are plan...

Re: Lake in Ontario

Look a little closer, there is a lot to look at shallower than 25'. Before I answer too much more take some time, reread the definition of what structure is then look at the map again.

Re: Jerry Borst

Hey Um... Did I fall into some sort of banter that I don't know the backstory? I was kind of shocked when I saw some of the posts here and for once I managed to control myself before I wrote something I would regret. So someone, anyone...Tell me that this is some sort of Duplex/Bales "You could...

Re: How To Identify A Finger?

You're right Steve. The shape is determined by the change in depth. I was trying to keep it simple and not rewrite the green book.

Re: How To Identify A Finger?

Fingers are not so much a depth change but a shape change. Think about a bar where it's a triangle with the point in the direction of the deep water. To identify the shape you've driven your boat at a break line depth. Before you did this you should have driven your boat from the shallow top to the ...
