Re: Bridge piers
1. In a reservoir, the home of the fish is the river channel. The channel runs between the two bridge supports. 2. Weather and water conditions have allowed the fish to migrate from the channel to where they are pictured. 3. There is a flat from the right support to the rip-rap and without any break...

IF WE ARE SO LUCKY
IF WE ARE SO LUCKY TO BE CHOSEN.......... If we are so lucky to be among those who are CALLED BY GOD and CHOSEN BY JESUS to be resurrected or raptured, on the 'Day of Salvation', it is because of NOTHING WE HAVE DONE to deserve or earn eternal life with the exception of OUR BELIEVING THE TRUTH OF TH...

Fran, being from Minnesota, I am sure that you heard of the Griz. When Dick was younger, he guided on Winnie, Mille Lac and other lakes. Now that he's a lot older, Dick mostly fishes the Mississippi and St.Croix river in the twin cities with his jon boat. I have fished with Dick starting in the 1980...

Re: Another long time spoonplugger
Jim, thanks for posting this video of Denny. I think I could water ski behind his boat! 6+ miles per hour on the troll. It's no wonder he could not catch them on the cast after he found them trolling. I was looking at the Daiwa website the other day and saw that Daiwa has a baitcasting reel that tak...

TN Dave,
Here's a video that shows the Mercury Big Tiller Power System in action.

Re: Finally…
Fran, I have the Tim Merten tiller assist on my Yamaha F60 tiller. I bought this directly from Tim in 2007. Like you said, it's not a steering system but it does eliminate steering torque and when you stop moving the tiller handle it locks and holds the tiller arm in that position until the tiller a...

Re: Puzzled
Remember the "star" hump that Tommy F. found in the Lake of the Woods. Don took his group of students to this hump and they mapped it. This structure had 5 fingers is the shape of a star. All 5 were identical in length, width an they all broke at the same depth in the deepest water surroun...

Re: Qustion for John Bales
"I assume the short handles are casting rods and the long handle is a trolling rod."
Ken, the rods offered by Buck Baits rods are solid glass trollingrods, regardless of the length of the handle.

Qustion for John Bales
John, in the Contact Point thread, you made the comment "Many have gotten rid of their no bo line. They go to braid and never go back. This is a mistake. Use the no bo for down to 15-18 ft and then braid or wire." Please explain why you believe that it's a mistake to troll with braid in 15...

Your electric trolling reels.
Hal, what brand and model of electric reels did you purchase when you sold your Okuma line counter reels?
My wife says it's time for us to switch to electric reels for trolling spoonplugs.
Thank you,
Garry Boggs

Re: Update on Don Dickson
Champ,
Yes, I was aware of the video date but it explained why Don had to put his on the water videos on hold and his plans for the future. Many including myself knew that Don was dealing with health issues but this was the first time I had heard he had bone cancer. Don could use our prayers.
