Re: Basic guideline

Glad to hear.
I was a bit hesitant to post public, as I disagree with the written material being too complicated. As we all know, there are soo many hidden gems that hit us in the face each time it is read.

Basic guideline

Here's an audio clip of Buck, talking about the study material and the basic guideline.
This is a unlisted clip right now. Not sure if this would be a good upload for all.
Let me know your thoughts...

Vintage Buck Perry RIP RAP

This one is one of my favorite clips. Great to see Buck on the water and explaining things.
I love his tackle box. If seen it a few times, a coffee can filled with spoonplugs and a few jigs!

Buck Perry: Trolling the base weedline

So much great info from Buck! And awesome to see him teaching on the water! In my opinion, the biggest shortfall most spoonpluggers have (including myself) is not using MARKERS and getting shoreline sightings! Also in this video and the past ones, he often will use a larger lure or wire to run a sho...

When is this winter going to end?!
Around here one of the cooling lakes opens this Friday. Was thinking of going, but the forecast this weekend is single digit highs!
guess I'll be drilling some more holes in the ice....

Vintage Buck Perry series!

I'll be uploading several clips of Mr. Perry that I'm calling the "Vintage Buck Perry" series.
In this clip Buck talks about where it all started on Lake James in 1928 and water color.

MLF Lake Kissimmee

A friend of mine (not a spoonpluuger) called me to tell me about the Major League Fishing (MLF) that just finished it's first tournament of the season. I don't watch or follow any of the bass tournaments, but I know John Bales commented that some of those guys are pretty good and you can pick up a t...

Re: Dons Childhood Idol.

I agree 100% with everything you said John, except the part you are becoming an old grouch, but this forum needs another grouch since Doug Busch is no longer present! I would love nothing more than to see Don get a huge following and keep to keep Buck's teachings alive.I'm guessing that there are ve...

Lifetime odds to catch a 10lb bass!

This is for the "average" fisherman, I'd like to see what it is for a SPOONPLUGGER!

Re: Speed control and NOISE!

This guy is quite the character! We need to send Duplex down there to fish with him!
He also seems somewhat knowledgeable, he is fishing breaklines in the main channel.
I love the boat thumping! The noise gets the fish going!

Speed control and NOISE!

A friend Bob Roels sent me this link. Check out the speed control this guy uses, and the NOISE he is making to get the fish going!
Reminds me of the story Buck told in the home study, he was banging on the side of the boat to get the perch to bite!
