Tournament Trolling
I remember hearing a story, maybe it was Don Dickson telling it but I'm not sure. It's about the reason trolling is not allowed in BASS tournaments. The story I heard was Buck was asked for his input and he said well you better not allow trolling or all the tournaments will be won from guys from my ...

Re: Its Begun...
How close are you to Izayts? This was from 2013. That was a nasty winter though, a lot worse than this year. Can't wait to come up and fish the big water this year.

Re: This is what I see coming
in the vid with Randy B he mentions his partner Jonny. I have watched Jonnys vids and he is very educated when it comes to deep water fishing. Randy on the other hand, as he mentions himself, is more of a traditional bank fisherman. I believe he is off base when comparing fishing to baseball and bas...

Garmin 93sv Chirp
Sold I have a Garmin 93SV Chirp. It is a 9" screen and has tradition sonar, down view and side view, all with 1 transducer. I bought it new this time of year in 2018. It is a non touch screen unit. I paid a little less than $1000 for it new, thinking it maybe worth $500 still. Let me know if yo...

Re: Interpretation: Harrison Bay, Minnetonka
Do you fish Minnetonka a lot? I make it our there a few times a year but I have never fished at Harrison Bay. I would contour troll with a 250 on the weedline (assuming there is one) and by doing that you will see if there is any fish on the weedline and also what kind of structure is really there. ...

Re: mapping
Champ, I am located in Mn just south of the twin cities. We have nothing but natural lakes. Some are glacier type that do have very defined structure and some are what Florida sounds to be like. It seems to take moving water to create a defined breakline. There is a river near me and when ever it co...

Re: mapping
I have a question for you guys. A lot of lakes near me don't have a very easy to identify breakline. Its more of just a gradual slope and then just flattens out. Have you run into lakes like this and if so where do you decide to place your lures, at what depth?

Hello from MN
Hello all, I am a new again spoonplugger. I first got introduced to structure fishing when I was a kid and I bought Don Dicksons structure fishing tapes from his infomercial. Fast forward to about 10 years later (which is about 10 years ago) I dug out those old tapes and searched for Buck Perry and ...
