Re: Fall fishing conditions
A fisherman once asked Mr. Perry why(in Florida) are we not catching bass bigger than 12 lbs? Mr.Perry's answer was(as he was holding up an 800 spoonplug) that this 800 spoonplug is not a mouthfull to a large bass. So......... if an 800 is not a mouthfull to a 12 lb bass, what is not a mouthfull to ...

Re: Fall fishing conditions
Many moons ago I would get frustrated with the lack of the really big bass catches. The old pics in the green book would just make my blood boil. Not mad at those who made those great catches but mad at myself. And the worst thing is not knowing why. This basicly boiled down to I did not know enough...

Re: Tohatsu engines.
The old tohatsu 2 strokes were junk. The new ones are sweet with the fuel injection and oil injection. The 2 stroke yamaha is a very good motor. All the new 4 strokes are good, quiet and great on gas but heavier. I can attain any rpm with no hesitation , no vibration at any rpm .......... And it sta...

Re: Tohatsu engines.
I have a 50 hp nissan 2 stroke. Fuel injection and oil injection. It is not a honda but I still like it. Very good on fuel as good as a 4 stroke. Our club members have bought several of the 9.8 four strokes and one fellow has an 18 4 stroke nissan. No problems with any of them. Tahatsu makes all of ...

Hi Geno, I have your buddies ready to ship. I have a student tomorrow and might not get them in the mail till Monday. Don't take this wrong but it sounds like you have done a lot of casting over the years. Someone has mislead the general public to believe that casting is the way to go to catch the m...

Re: Casting in current ?
Charlie, You are not really mapping when you are counting down a lure. You are gaining information on the depth of the water. Mapping is done by your interpretation of bottom conditions. Aids are lures and the depth meter. Dont try to be so precise on everything. You will drive yourself nuts. Just g...

Bink, I will take mine to my grave..... Never fished out of a better boat for all around fishing. Works well on the small lakes and the big ones. Nothing beats a 14 ft big jon by lowe on the small lakes but you wouldnt want to go out on lake erie in one. Nothing is perfect and everyone has their ide...
