Re: Navionics lake of the week 3-24-13
You know......... it's really funny that I wouldn't notice that this is the lake that I live on. Probably because you are only showing a section of the lake. I have not seen this map before. This was at one time one of the better bass lakes around. The weed line goes to 12-13 feet and is mostly all ...

Bill, You are welcome to anchor next to me anytime you want. Just jump in, grab a rod and we will go get your boat when we are done. John

Re: Navionics Lake of the week
The very first thing that stands out like a sore thumb is an anchoring position, and it would only take one, will catch most anything that's worth talking about and that would be in and around the 32 ft hole. Who ever lives close to this one would be smart to be anchored there just as soon as the ic...

Kevin, Duplex is a pretty good spoonplugger. Your not....................... When you show your catches on your own, then you can get a bit cocky and you will deserve to do so. John Actually....... the stupid is showing right now!!!!

Not the first time I lost a long post. The longer they are, the madder I get when it happens. I am just not good enough on the computer to do some things or just don't have the patience to learn. Stubborn I guess. John

Re: Jerry Borst
Kevin, Actually, the questions will really start when you actually get out on the water and make an attempt to make it work. No one gets in my boat unless they have read the green book and then they must show that they are putting in some effort on their own on the water. When I started spoonpluggin...

Mom's passing
I would like to thank everyone for their support on my mother's passing. The flowers sent by spoonpluggers brought tears to my eyes. Both of my parents were in the Air Force. The Air Force came to the funeral home and did a great service to my mom and played taps and did the folding of the flag and ...

Thank you all for your support. Just got back from the east coast last night and got unloaded. Got done with the things I needed to do and it feels good to be home. Losing a family member is very hard but support from family and friends helps with the healing. Take Care John

C........... I started answering your post and realized that this may take a while to answer. Jeri Perry wants something for the national newsletter and if I can get your permission to use your post with the answers, this will make a good article. John

Re: Need info on boat and motor.
Billy, That 15hp evinrude will do you just fine. You put that on a 14 ft lowe big jon boat and it will make you a great starter boat. The 14 ft big jon is a stable boat and you can rig it with seats and stick a depth meter and an anchor and you are ready to get going. Easy to launch on and off the t...

Re: New to Spoonplugging
Billy Boy, My mother lives in Maryland. When visiting her, I realized that everything around her was electric trolling motor only. All for drinking water for Baltimore area and full of rules. No fishing within sight of the dam. Who invented that one. When I was young, I snuck down along the dam and ...

Re: Deepest Water In Area = 165ft
Specifically the 165 ft depth? I think that Mr. Perry said somewhere that we are supposed to look at the sanctuary depth where the fish spend most of their time at around 30-35 feet back in his day but he eventually took it down to 60 feet. Sounds like the St. Lawrence to me. Once you go through all...
