Re: Snow and Spoonpluggers

I had a 2500 Dodge with a 360 gas motor which I put my slide in camper which by the way I loved. I worked at Starcraft Rv and we made them and got mine for cost. No shower which was a bummer but there are ways to clean up for a few days if not at a campground. I remember watching the gas gauge go do...

Re: This is what I see coming

Lazy has been a word Terry has used for years for those who want fishing knowledge and just aren't out there enough to get it. The bad part is that we have so few people involved in spoonplugging that if you call them lazy, you lose a few and we need to keep the ones we got. We have plenty who talk ...

Re: This is what I see coming

One of the reasons us old guys like trolling with the flashers is because it is real time. It allows us to make adjustments in our trolling passes a little faster and maybe stay on a breakline a little better. Livescope is not real time, it is live and the picture is like being down there with the f...

I stopped at the ramp yesterday on the way home from catching 40 smallmouth and the ramp was the only thing that was not open. Its in a channel and it was still ...

Re: Interpretation: Harrison Bay, Minnetonka

You forgot to mention one of the most important observations and that would be the depth of the weedline. How deep do the weeds grow in this section? The question is............ can you run the first three sizes , bump the bottoms and begin to learn. If not, then you have picked the wrong area to be...

Re: Snow and Spoonpluggers

Lake St. Clair is worth waiting for. Puts those sissy giant Florida bass to shame. I hope you can find the time to join us to enjoy this great fishery. If you do it once, you will be here every year. Understand that weather and water can spoil the high hopes anywhere you might travel but if the star...

Re: Snow and Spoonpluggers

Thats me. It's getting better, mentally and physically. Two weeks ago we had 14 inches that wasn't going anywhere and the cold snap finally left us. Had some days in the 40's and then two days in the 50's and yesterday we had wind and 60 degrees. Snow is all gone, the ice on the lake took a serious ...

Re: Obsessed??????????

My wife's uncle shot pool and played cards for a living. Deb and I lived two houses from each other growing up and me and her brother got in trouble together so I was over there all the time. The guys name was Charlie Voirol and he was one of the best hustlers around. He ran with a guy from Ft. Wayn...

Re: Lake Eufaula

David, I have been watching it off and on while painting and there is so much to be learned about seasonal fish movements but our narrow minded spoonpluggers think the bassmaster guys are all stupid and some really are but a few of them are true spoonpluggers. To see how some of these guys adapt to ...
