A fellow spoonplugger told me he was using the new titanium line for leaders. I tried it for the past 2 weeks and it seems pretty good. It appears to be very strong,and will not bend or kink. The only downside so far is that it is fairly expensive, about one dollar a foot. It is sold in 20 thru 70 pound test. (I tried 50lb.)
