When Jim McDonald and I were on Navajo lake, we never went below 4 mph, and most of the time we were in the 6 to 7 mph range to get the fish to take.
Religion is a guy in church, thinking about fishing.
Relationship is a guy out fishing, thinking about God!

In the heat of the summer, you have to pick it up, especially the shallower you troll. As you go deeper, the speeds normally go down but you always have to check it and the heat of the summer is the time of the year you must vary your speeds from slow to pretty fast, 2 to 6-7-whatever. John

Jim D you are always inspirational Thank you.
You trip was early August I thought I was watching my self in the middle of August..viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4044
Wire line, speed and good spoonplugging habits makes it all possible. My speeds have been in the same range as yours 5-6.5 MPH Lie Buck always said You have to make'em bite and speed and correct depth does that every time Really been killing it here SW Michigan
Thanks again.
