Your electric trolling reels.

Post by Garry B »

Hal, what brand and model of electric reels did you purchase when you sold your Okuma line counter reels?

My wife says it's time for us to switch to electric reels for trolling spoonplugs.

Thank you,

Jerry Borst turn me on to Daiwa electrics, the only way to troll. I pray for him every day. I am all in, I have 5 now. My use of wire line is very limited so that is the only reel that is still an Okuma left hand crank.. The others I have two with 20Lb braid, two with 80 lb braid and one with 10 lb braid for shallow water work. They operate great though the Daiwa leobritz S500J is very user friendly. I have one Daiwa Leobritz S500 great reel just a little clumsier to operate for me. My shallow water work reel is a Banax Kaigen 150. If I was only going to have one or two reels it would be the S500J. I give you a link on e-bay as a place to start your search. best of luck.
