Hi everyone! My name is Jim. I am not new to fishing but new to Spoonplugging. I have studied the Green Book and Advanced Materials as well as watch all of Don Dicksons, Jim Shell and Jim Duplex awesome, informative You Tube videos regularly. I am so happy to be a New Spoonplugger ! My kids are now enjoying catching fish instead of going for boring boat rides. I plan to fish many New Mexico Lakes this summer and enjoy the cool mountains at the same time.

Welcom Jim,
Glad to see another westerner on here.
Keep at it, follow the guidelines, and success will come.
I fished Blue Water Lake a couple years ago, and did pretty good on the Tiger Muskies.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my beautiful city is in mourning for what has happened here yesterday. Please pray for the families who lost their loved ones. :(

We started praying before the first sentence of the news from El Paso was finished. I'm looking to read your TX and proximity to El Paso reports Jim.

How I discovered SpoonPlugging

How I got started Spoonplugging.

A few years ago, I was at an local Outdoor Show. I visited a booth selling with vintage fishing books and magazines, and one caught my eye, it was called the Fishermans Bible by Tom McNally's, the best thing about it was that it was only $5. Later that day back at the house as I was reading through the book, I found 3 chapters about a guy named Buck Perry who reveals his "Bass Fishing Secrets". This was my first introduction into Spoonplugging. The information really interested me and I started researching spoonplugs online and found this site and Jim Shells Structure Fishing videos, what a find! Later, I come to find that the chapters in the Fishermans Bible were directly from the Green Book and Advanced home study course. I am so grateful for the knowledge that Buck shared with us and for the members of this forum sharing their learnings. It has really helped me advance my fishing knowledge!
