Triggering LM Bass movements

Post by Bryan-AZ »

How do you trigger bass to move from the depths toward the shallows?

Drop a video camera on them at 42 feet, then slowly drag it up to the 15 ft flats... 8-)

Here is the bass at 42ft:

You notice the white thing on his tail and the time is 2:23:22pm:

Movement up to 15ft - 5 minutes and 22 seconds later

Light, weather, and water conditions have nothing on the effects produced by my underwater camera!

I would say that you lucked out and hit a movement period at the same time you were photographing the fish.
Time of day is perfect for this time of year. Some of the best movements here occur at this time of day.

Now if you can do this again and again, then we have a different situation!

I was just reviewing some old videos and decided to post those clips. That bass was a lone bass that seemed curious of the camera. He circled it a couple of times while tagging along up to the flats.
