Lake of the week 7-15-13

Post by site admin »

No one has posted a lake of the week for some time...
Here's a lake (I'll share the name of the lake after some discussion gets going)

What type of lake is this?
What would you think the water color would be?
Where would you spend your time fishing?
Any other interpretations you could make?

Flatlander.
Yellow-green.
Junction of creek channel(third cove from dam on north side) and river channel; long bars at entrance of creek channel on south side(to the right of the word LAKE; long bar on north end of the dam. There's a 23' hole off the bar just north of the boat ramp(south end of dam); I'd check out the bar on the way to the north creek channel. The dam is trolling water on the way to the north end, the north end of the 15' hump just east of the dam(drops into 26'), and to the creek channel. There are lots of inside bends to check out, e.g. long bars, cuts, washes, etc., and a myriad of humps. Depends upon how much time you have to spend on the lake.
