Slide/Wash Pic

Post by Steve Craig »

Here is a typical Canyon/Highland type wash.
The photo is not the best quality, as it is an older pic, but it shows the "Dirt" in and otherwise solid rock environment.
There can be many or few in these types lakes.
Buck always said to spend some time driving the lake to find them, as all are worth a good look.
This one is on Bartlett lake here in AZ.

Interesting! How far out does it extend into the lake and what kind of depths? Have you mapped it?

Dennis,
It breaks at 25 directly into 60 feet, at normal pool all the way into the channel. And only 2 boat lengths from shore.

Right now this lake is down 32 feet! So it is all out of the water right now!

Steve,
How do you typically present lures in a structure situation like this? I'm thinking casting.

Trolling and casting. Some of these are pretty big, and some are small like this one. Buck always said to search them out, as they are usually gold mines.
The will have fingers, inside turns, etc., just like any other bar.
Usually very clean and easy to work.
