Good one Jim. Shove a short piece of iron pipe in one end and the marker will stand up; easier to see.

These are very similar to the ones that I made and use in my (gasp) kayak. With the limited space in the yak I needed to come up with something that was economical in size. I found that by weighting one side of the floats with some nails it would prevent them from continuing to roll after the weight hit the bottom. I also made a reel for winding them up more easily out of an old reel. Pool noodles and PVC - nothing you can't do :)

Denny that is great!! Both the idea for the markers and the reel to haul them in.
