Re: Countour trolling
Woody, The "Home Study" course is really all that you or I need. The "Home Study" course is better organized and is much easier to carry around and keep up with. The "Blue Book" as Fran calls it, is single page, memographed paper (remember that) about 3" or so thic...

Re: Spoonplug hooks
Woody, You can replace the hooks on the Spoonplugs with any good hooks...just match the size to the hook that you are replacing. May take a time or two to figure out the correct size. Just make a note. I like Owner. Gamakatsu. Eagle Claw or VMC are good. On the larger Spoonplugs I find the saltwater...

Re: They came yesterday!!!!!
Woody, The "Home Study Course" is the best Valentine's Day present! You are on your way to some good study time. One thing that helped me, especially with all of the black and white illustrations was to color in the water, outline of the lake, trees, islands, etc. Crayola type markers work...

Re: rod questions
Woody,
I have used Buck's Baits rods for years and years. The rods have the feel and durability that give years of good service. In the long run, Buck's Baits rods will save you money...plus you will catch more fish because of the feel the rod gives while trolling.

Re: Side scan depth finders
Nick, The videos are on line at Vexilar at the address that Fran gave. Keep in mind the videos are not "Spoonplugging" videos; but do show the how the Vexilar units operate. I bought an FL-20, as per Fran's and John Bales' recommendation. I am well pleased with the unit; and when Fran or J...

Informative video. Mr. Gingrich is a noted Historian. We all would do well to learn and never forget the lessons of history.
