Re: deep hole guideline

Steve, I totally understand what you are saying about the speed control being just as important as the depth control and you are a hundred percent correct, we may have been off just that smidge on the speed control that caused us not to trigger the strike. I have seen it a million times where one gu...

Re: deep hole guideline

So here’s where I’m at, several times and I mean several, last year while working an area of a lake myself and whoever has been with me(mostly my brother who also has been studying spoonplugging for some time now) have worked structures top to bottom every speed imaginable and didn’t make contact wi...

deep hole guideline

First off let me say I’m in for getting the break line club going again, always enjoyed them. Because of this thread I rewatched the meeting that yaintdeadyet posted, which brought up a few questions for john. John when fishing these deep holes are you primarily fishing the edges of the holes facing...

If anyone is looking there is a guy in town selling his 15' 1980 tuffy, hes asking $800 for boat trailor and cover. Gave it a quick look and was in "good" shape for a boat 35 years old. Id buy it if I had the money. Im in buffalo,mn so i thought I'd let the spoonplug nation have a shot at ...

Re: Some more mapping questions

Dr. Dennis, Just my 2 cents here and I know this thread is old but I'm just catching up. You said you bought a boat for when you have friends and family with you, so USE THAT TO MAP. Hit your favorite lakes with the boat first and do all your mapping and get your rifle sites out of the boat. From th...

Re: brooklyn park minnesota

Looks nice, especially for 275$. I'd love to check it out for you but I'm super busy the rest of this week. I'd hate to have you miss out on a boat due to my schedule. If you can wait till next week I can certainly help you out. How you gonna get it home? Float it down the Mississippi? No motor or t...

Re: Navionics Lake of the week

Fran, There certainly are a lot of water to choose from. In my case I usually end up choosing Ramsey Lake over buffalo, the challenge of finding a school of bass usually trumps hunting down walleyes on buffalo as I probably wouldnt eat many fish from there. Ask Mike what he knows about Ramsey I have...

Re: Navionics Lake of the week

Too funny! I live about a mile from this lake as it is named after the town I live in! It has good water color most of the year even before the very heavy algea bloom that hits every summer.Mostly managed for walleye. Has largemouths, smallmouths and pike as well. Smallmouth can be had on the north ...

Instant Messages?

I was just thinking as I read over some posts, since I can read who is online, on the forum at the same time that I am- is it possible to set up a section on the forum so that users who are online at the same time can IM each other? I don't know if this is even possible or if anyone would even have ...

My name is Joe, I havent been spoonplugging as long as the amazing group of individuals that preceded this post but here goes, this is me. I have always had a passion for fishing. Some of my earliest memories involved fishing. I have an uncle that to this day says "as long as you had a fishing ...

Log Home Kit

I purchased a log home kit a while ago in hopes of building a cabin on a lake. Wouldn't you know it, my wife became pregnant with our second child. With one little one and another on the way my hopes of building a cabin have been put on hold. I have pictures of a completed model as well as blueprint...
