Those are some good points, and that's what we must do if we're fishing on a day like yesterday here in the Midwest. We expected it to be a tough go and I won't go as far as saying we should have gone to the zoo, lol, or anything but we have had what seems like 2 weeks straight of rain and then my o...

I think if there is a fish that uses humps more than any other it would be the walleye, we can also find muskies and pike on them at times.

Just noticed you are from Madison, if you have been fishing on Menona and asking if muskie or pike are caught on that hump, yes also walleyes.

RF, If you all ready have the line then use a second reel. Put all the wire on the 1st reel then the mono to the desired amount. Then wind it all on to the 2nd reel. I personally think it's cheaper to go with the 200 yd spools, cause you, "WILL" loose some from time to time, 20' here 10' t...

Doug, If we were to get out for a little "wire time" we might as well do it when and where we can land a few fish. So how's about you coming up north, I'll put you up for a couple days, in say Nov.-Dec. At that time the pike stay deep most of the time. (40'-50'). Or You could also meet us ...

David, If John B gives you the chance to get in his boat I wouldn't even let school get in the way! Terry has not fallen off the edge and is still very much involved with teaching, the National News Letter, and many other areas. If you want to fish with one of the best save your money and book a tim...

Ron, How do? I wouldn't call using a gps "over the top" but for most fishermen it becomes more of a distraction than a tool used to increase our fish count. Don't get me wrong I too own a cheapy hand held and I even use it at least a couple times a season. ;-) They have there place, for in...

Jeremy, You can find some good reels on ebay, they should be fine. Order yourself a bulk pac of 17lbs, good all around line! If your fishing on bass/walleye/cats/ect. waters tie it right to a #3 snap. However if your fishing on muskie/ pike lakes then you should tie to a good strong 7 strand or tie ...

It's hard to beat a jigging spoon or a buddy, min. 3/4oz. The deeper you go the heavier. We have used 3/4s in 50' and have had good feel. I have some buds if you need em.

It sure looks original, in fact John Bales and I just talked about what I assume is the above s.p. this was the 1st 700 designed for salt water.
