Re: This weeks lake of the week
John; You are definitely the teacher, and we are the students. After reading your post I brought up the lake map again and looked over all the areas you picked out and felt very humbled by what I had missed. We never stop learning. Bill.

This weeks lake of the week
Dwight didn't see you post a lake, so I figured I better get this one. This week our job is to figure out this 600 acre natural lake. It is said to have a real good bass population. Lets get to it!! Bill.

Hi Dwight; Yes we can use your lake this week. If you could wait until I re-post my lake of the weeks that were lost due to the site delete issue. I should have them back on today. Bill.

Mapping and Interpretation Part 2
Pg. 49 After working all the important water in the state, I had no trouble picking out the most productive lakes. I had the least trouble picking out the Best bass lake in the state. The moment I laid eyes on it, I knew it was THE lake in the state. The lake did not have a very good reputation as a...

Re: Depth Sounders, Graphs, and Flashers
Steve; In reference to how hunting , trapping, and fishing are closely related. By your great pictures of all the game you called in I know you pay close attention to detail. I was an avid bowhunter for years and by off season scouting I was very successful at harvesting nice bucks. This is very sim...

Re: a question
John; I can tell one of the gifts passed on to you from Mr. Perry was to make us think about a fishing situation. That is the sign of a good teacher, by not giving the answer to the student until they where forced to think about it. Thanks, Bill.

Re: a question
Steve; My take on this is that the fish were taking the longer line when they were in a more neutral mood as the motor came over them and didn't react to the short line. As the day went on they became active for a period and were more aggressive therfore took the short line. When the movement period...

Re: Interesting Observations
Actually guys I think 1 of them saw my face and thought I was some ugly monster and it ruined their appetite. Maybe I should make a mask with a picture of some of the better looking spoonpluggers like John Bales or Jim Duplex. This would put the fish in a positive mood, at least the female fish. It ...

Interesting Observations
A few years back I got an underwater camera as a gift. I hadn't really used it much but thougt it might be a fun thing to play around with on a few contact points during the winter when the water was clearer. So this last week I rounded up my old beaver Dam tip-ups and some minnows and headed out to...
