Navy Pier Perch fishing
Went to Navy Pier (Chicago) for the first time, as I have seen many reports on the perch fishing at Navy Pier. Caught perch on nearly every cast. Had to sort thru several smaller fish to get some eaters. Fried them up for dinner... some of the best fish I ever had! Going back again Friday! https://w...

Re: Fishing with my Son
Awesome! Keep it up! Casey has been fishing with me since he was 5, now he is 13. I couldn't be any happier! When not fishing, he is watching YouTube videos about fishing. I'm a bit "old school', and he has even taught me some things now. Hope your son catches the fishing "bug' too! BUT, a...

Don mentioned this in one of his videos recently. Buck never held them out to make them look bigger.
I just saw this pic on Facebook. I think this shot is going a little overboard! This is a fairly well known angler, but pics like this, I think you loose a little credibility.

Weather: cold fronts
I searched a few years ago for a website that shows fronts and forecasts for them. This is the only good site I found:
https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/basicwx/day0-7loop.html

Re: SANFORD RESERVOIR
Looks like a flatlander 1 or 2. Not very deep (less than 25ft?) No major feeder creeks to speak of.
Probably has very good water color. I'd mostly work the original channel breakline, spending a lot of time on any sharp turns I come across.
Good Luck! Let us know how you did!

Hi Mike.. Welcome to the forum! I certainly remember you, and all the stories/adventures you had. Re: Ray Roberts Lake
Thanks for the replies Harold, Brian and Garry. I would pick one of the larger feeder arms towards the headwaters and try to just stay there. If it has a lot of standing trees, that would indicate it was built in more recent times. I checked, and yes, it was built in the early 80's. Texas is on my b...

Ray Roberts Lake
Hi, I'm Lake Ray Roberts. I live a bit north of Dallas Texas. I am 30,000 acres. The biggest bass pulled out of me has been 15lbs. It's been many years since I had a spoonplugger fish me. What kind of reservoir am I? How and where would you spend your time fishing me? You can look at me in more deta...

Re: The Buck Perry Series
I recall hearing Buck make the comment that he found at least (1) white sandy water color in every state. That may have been true years ago, but doubtful now, especially in the great lakes area. I'm guessing that whitewater lake my have been white sandy years ago. Whichever the lake was, i'm sure it...
