Re: Mapping with a garmin chip

Jim, Great videos!! The video of the landing the big largemouth that got tangled in the huge bouy is a classic!! Note: Anyone who is new to Spoonplugging and has questions about how to troll with two anglers in a boat, watch Jim’s videos. With the high camera and wide angle lens mounted on the bow o...

Re: Mapping with a garmin chip

Jim

Great video (YouTube) from Navajo Lake. A true multi species fishing trip, smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, catfish, and a salmon thrown in for good measure. All caught on the same Spoonplug!! Good text book trolling technique!

Thanks for sharing the video.

Re: Finally…

Thanks Fran,

Hydraulic steering sure would save a lot of wear on the shoulder. Let us know what you think about the assisted steering when you have spend some time on the water.

Great looking boat!

Re: Finally…

Fran Terrific looking boat; guaranteed to impress the fish!!! Great job on equipping a Spoonplugger boat. A far cry from the little 13.5’ Spoonplugger Boat of days gone by. A heck of a whole lot better to handle the big water. What’s the additional equipment around/on the tiller handle?? Power steer...

What size truck (chassis) do you have to carry the 811 Artic Fox slide in camper?

Thanks

Mega Dittos, Brian!!!

Excellent, Excellent article. Insightful, to say the least, and much the same thoughts as I have wondered about over the years. However, your writing is far more concise and better stated than anything I could have ever imagined.

Well Done!

Guys

Don’t rule out a bad case of “Cabin Fever”. Common occurrence this time of the year.

Douglas, Folks in the photo: John B and John Zaborny. That is Frank and the late Teresa Hamill, sitting next to John Z. Lady in pink t-shirt is Beverly Lamphier. Lady in white blouse next to Teresa, I should know, cannot remember her name. Young folks behind John Bales are part of Jeri Perry’s exten...

Re: Doing what Steve Craig does for a living and hate it.

Steve and John Thanks for the postings on the remodel/painting projects. Got to do a major project on wife, Deanie’s, house. Got the roof replaced by an outstanding crew that did the installation correctly and corrected some mistakes done by the previous contractor. Having to replace the siding on t...

Garry Very well said!! I, also, have made the analogy of the lessons of the “Green Book” and the “Holy Bible”. Two different books entirely with excellent advice for productive fishing and soul saving guidance for a productive life. We have a choice now as to where each of us will spend eternity. We...

Re: Terry on Casting

Guys, I will second Brett’s recommendation on Chase’s YouTube videos. Great lesson in all of them and the videos are like viewing an old family photo album. Good to see old friends from days gone by and also a bittersweet reminder of those good Spoonpluggers who are no longer with us. Watching one o...

Brian, A great photo and one for the scrapbook! A treasured memory. For me, one of the most treasured memories was taking the Basic Spoonplugging Class from Terry. Understated to say that I learned a lot. Most enjoyable part of the training was listening to the recount of his (and Vic Saunders) expe...
