Re: Hello, from Missouri ( there are lakes here too.)
Let me be the first to say, "Welcome." Lots of info on the boards, especially if you use the "search" feature to try and get answers to specific topics. Good luck with your new Spoonplugging journey. I was similar in that I fished bass tourneys for over 20 years where trolling wa...

Re: Spoonplugging with kids
Very good points, TN Dave. This whole trip lasted just about 3.5 hours, but that was because her attention was mostly held by catching fish. Not much worse for a kid than forcing them to stay out fishing (because YOU don't want to go in) when nothing is biting and they're bored. What wasn't shown we...

White Bass
This video will hit our club site sometime tomorrow, but I'll post it here first. It was from a trip this past Thu. I was reminded of this comment made by Terry O'Malley in a white bass article he did a couple years back in the National newsletter. "No fisherman can ever deny the fighting abili...

Indiana crappie fishing
Crappie have become one of my favorite fish to target, and they are great for teaching people some of the basics of structure fishing since they nearly always school in numbers. If I'm not mistaken, there was even a request some years back about Spoonpluggers trying to utilize the more plentiful pan...

Re: Hello from Wisconsin
Welcome aboard, Joe, and congrats on the new boat! Lots of great info on these pages to browse through. If you're not already, another thought would be to join National (NSOA.info) and be able to get access to all the old back issues of the National Newsletter. Lots of good stuff there, too. Can't h...

I'm thinking Bales needs to start working on the new JB3+ version for you before that trip I don't think a 1 or a 2 will cut it...
A fishing trip with the potential for death - no fish is worth that to me, but hope the heck you enjoy yourself if you decide to risk it.
