Be Careful. Wind HOWLING here today, 4 miles from lake. Really don't want to hear about you being cold, wet, & lifeless!

Re: Mapping with a garmin chip

John, Thanks for posting that information. I've been curious about how effective this auto-mapping software really is. The new sounders are a few generations beyond my Lowrance Gen2 HDS that doesn't have the mapping function. Have wondered about the effectiveness of these systems & whether they ...

Re: SPEED

Pretty Cool. Seeing the boat movement against a close background from another boat would really show off the speed. Imagining the movement for me is aided by relating the MPH to feet-per-second. 4 MPH is almost 6 FPS. Round off to 6 FPS...then 6 MPH is 9 FPS. Actually it's 8.8, close enough... Visua...

What is remarkable is that Buck Perry saw this also applied to fish because for a...

Animal Movements

On the back of the Little Green Book the lake is shown without the water to indicate the terrain the fish see. Similarly the terrain that we & other animals see is the above water terrain without regards to the fluid it is immersed in, the air. Of course it is more difficult for us to see the un...
