Re: Livescope

Thanks pstanek, but I did end up going with John's idea of an umbrella. I've got the bracket mounted to seat pedestal -- looks like it should work pretty good, but wont get to try it out until all this house sale stuff is takin' care of and I actually get moved down there. Pat

Re: Livescope

Thanks, it's a little late to change my mind, so I'll make the best of it!. A bimini top is already on order -- just have to figure out how to keep one of the poles out of the way for trolling. Pat

Re: Livescope

Thanks John, very interesting stuff. In a few weeks I'm going to be retiring to Don Dickson territory in Leesburg Fl., and I was wondering if a Livescope type setup is as useful in those shallow bowl type lakes compared to the northern -- multiple structure lakes? Thanks, Pat

Re: Don Dickson Interview

Jim, the easiest interview you have ever done--right? You just start him off and away he goes--which is great! His infomercial with Curt Gowdy was what got me started. I was able to ride in his boat at a on-the-water seminar up here in Minnesota. It would be nice if he could still contribute to spoo...

Re: Seasonal Migration

Ok John, got it. But just to clarify. Finding the largest fish in the deepest sections of the lake probably
has more to do with the species habits than anything else?

Thanks, I'll stop thinking about it :|

Re: Seasonal Migration

Steve, I wasn't trying to infer that it wasn't true---but to get someone else's ideas on how this might happen. Evidently Buck's theories on the topic weren't conclusive enough to put it to writing.(I don't believe) "Also remember that a fish is "comfortable" at any where he is at.&qu...

Re: Seasonal Migration

That really doesn't relate to my question pertaining to the comment "the deepest water in the lake will generally hold the largest and biggest schools of fish" which is what I have read in Buck's literature, or on this message board, or maybe on a Don Dickson tape. Anyone else remember hea...

Seasonal Migration

This might be one of those unanswerable topics, but since I have loaned my green book out to my son, I can't scan through it to see if I missed it. Buck says that the deepest water in the lake will generally hold the largest and biggest schools of fish. So, how do fish know where the deepest water i...

Looks good Jim. Just wondering, is Evinrude one of your sponsors, or are you giving them some free pub? :)
